Mag. Lukas Stipkovic Member of the Management Board of SIGMA Investment AG


Lukas Stipkovich studied business administration at the Vienna University of Economics with a focus on banking management and a thesis on equity research. He began his career as an equity analyst at Girozentrale. After a job as a fund manager at Sparinvest, Mr. Stipkovich spent the second half of the 1990s as an equity analyst at SBC Warburg in London. In this capacity he was involved as an analyst in numerous Austrian privatizations such as Böhler Udeholm and Austria Tabak.


After a three-year management position as Head of Equity Research at CAIB / Bank Austria, he was responsible for nearly a decade as Country Executive Austria for ABN AMRO Bank and subsequently for The Royal Bank of Scotland, where he also served on the Management Committee for the D-A-CH and CEE regions. In his function, he was responsible for several milestone transactions, such as the first Austrian US debt private placement for OMV in 2003 and the Wienerberger capital increase in 2009.


After two years as Senior Advisor for KeplerCheuvreux, Mr. Stipkovich returned to the Buy side in 2014 as Head of Portfolio Management at Valartis Bank Austria. He joined SIGMA Investment AG in autumn 2016, where he built and managed a mutual fund for European small and mid-cap stocks. Since 1.5.2019 Mr. Stipkovich is a member of the Management Board of SIGMA Investment AG.
